Carlo Peter Foresi Sr.

Carlo Peter Foresi, a devoted husband, father, educator, and community leader, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2025. Born on June 29, 1941, in Pennsylvania and raised in Springfield, MA, Carlo dedicated his life to education, service, and family.

A longtime resident of Connecticut, Carlo was a passionate educator who designed, developed, and served as both a teacher and Director of the Career Vocational Education Department for the Hartford Public Schools. His commitment to shaping the future of students through vocational education left a lasting impact on generations of learners and colleagues.

Beyond his career in education, Carlo was an active and dedicated member of his community. He served on the board of Spring Lake Village Condo Association 5, where he was president from 2016 to 2023, working tirelessly to improve and support his neighborhood.

Carlo was the beloved husband of Joanne Foresi, with whom he shared 62 loving years of marriage. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support for one another. He was a proud father to his predeceased son, Carlo Foresi Jr., and sons Michael Foresi and Stephen Foresi, daughter-in-law Stephanie Foresi, grandchildren Sebastian, Taylor, Anthony and Brittany and great grandchildren Malachai and Gabriella, who will carry on his legacy of hard work, kindness, and dedication. He was predeceased by his siblings Joseph Foresi, Josephine Stabilo, Anne Ouimet and Marie Foresi.

Carlo’s legacy will live on in the lives he touched, the students he inspired, and the family and friends who loved him dearly. His warmth, wisdom, and generosity will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at 11 AM at St. Dominic Church, 1050 Flanders Rd., Southington. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be prior to the Mass from 8:30-10:30 AM at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington where family and friends will gather to honor and celebrate his life.
