Catherine Cummings

Southington- Catherine ( Quitek) Cummings, 81, of North Rd, passed away on Friday August 29 at the Hospital of Central CT Bradley Campus. She was the wife of William Cummings. Catherine was born in Hamden on January 18, 1927 and was the daughter of the late John Quitek. Catherine had been employed by S.N.E.T., Post College in Waterbury and Quinnipiac University in Hamden. She was a parishioner of St. Aloysius Church. Besides her husband she is survived by two sons William J Cummings and his wife Diana of FL, Craig D. Cummings and his wife Denise of Waterbury, a daughter Patricia Kono of North Haven, two granddaughters Stephanie and Alexandria Cummings , a grandson Christopher Cummings along with her sister Dorothy Barnes and two nephews. She was predeceased by a grandson Billy Cummings and two sisters Helen Messaro and May Dennison. The Funeral will be Tuesday September 2, at St. Aloysius Church 254 Burritt St. at 10:30 a.m. Visitation will be held on Tuesday 8:30 AM until 10 AM at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home 211 N. Main St. in Southington. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
