Catherine "Cath" A. (Enright) Morris, 62, of the Plantsville section of Southington, passed away on May 30, 2019 at THOCC at New Britain General, surrounded by her loving family after a long battle with leukemia. She was the beloved wife and sole mate of Keith A. Morris of 45 years.
She was born on July 17, 1956, at Yale New Haven. She was the daughter of the late John and Mary Patricia (Hurley) Enright. She had been employed by Fluid-O- Tech in Plantsville prior to her cancer diagnosis. She was a member, Sunday school teacher, and counsel member at First Lutheran Church of Southington.
She was so very proud of her three children and 5 grandchildren who she adored with all of her heart, son Alan J. Morris of Plantsville, 2 daughters Amy and husband Barry Wright of Plantsville and Mary and husband Steven "Posi" Positano of Bristol. Grandchildren Molly Wright, Patrick Wright, Mikayla Morris, Brayden Morris and Parker Positano. She also leaves behind her brother and best friend Thomas J. Enright and wife Margaret Wadas-Enright of New Mexico, as well as two nieces Caitlin Enright and Piper Morris.
Cathy had two loves, "saving money", and her dog snowflake. She was loved by everyone she encountered, and everyone she encountered loved her. She was a mother figure to all of her children's friends, and she will be sorely missed by her very large extended family and friends that became family. Cathy was blessed in the fact that she had many lifelong friends.
Cathy's family is beyond grateful and honored to have had the staff on C-5 at THOCC care for and love her. Throughout this process, they have become very special to her and her family.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 4th at 11 am at the First Lutheran Church, 232 Bristol St. Southington. Burial will be at South End Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Monday June 3rd at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. from 4-8 pm.
Donations may be made in memory of Cathy Morris to the Hope Lodge of the American Cancer Society, 132 W 32nd St. NY, NY 10001
