

He was born in New Haven on Aug. 11, 1940, the son of the late John and Mary Angelus (Leahy) Hogan.
Prior to his retirement, Charlie was an electrician and worked for Fiora Electric for over 30 years. He was a member of IBEW Local # 90. He was a parishioner of the Church of the Epiphany. Charlie was a member of Family Campers and RVer?s, CT FCRV, the Happy Wanderers. He enjoyed camping and playing washer toss.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Charles Hogan Jr. of York, PA, Charlene Spillane of Dallastown, PA, Eric Carta of Middletown, Christina Hogan of Enterprise, AL, Tracy and husband Paul Thurston of Greenwich, NY 6 grandchildren, Chrissy Spillane, Kelly Spillane, James Hogan, Paul Thurston III, Andrew Thurston and Joseph Thurston a great granddaughter Addison Denenberg.
He also leaves 2 brothers, John and wife Katie Hogan of Milford, James and wife Pauline Hogan of Clinton, a sister Mary Jane and husband Bob Thompson of Clinton also brothers-in-law Joseph Grosser and wife Barbara of Sommers and Frank Grosser and wife Blanche of Bethany.
He was predeceased by a daughter Carol Lynn Hogan and daughter-in-law Cathy Hogan.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011 at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Epiphany, 1750 Huckins Rd., Cheshire. Calling hours will be on Friday from 5-8 p.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Southington. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, 2969 Whitney Ave., Hamden, CT 06518.
