
Dorothy Case, died Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at The Summit of Plantsville.
He was born in Plainville, CT on July 24, 1929, the son of late Lenson H. and Ella Betsy B. Case. Chester retired from General Electric in Plainville in 1990. He served as a Corporal in the Army during the Korean War from 1951 to 1953 where he received the Korean Service medal with two bronze service stars and the United Nations Service Medal.
Besides his wife, he is survived by son Chester B. Case, Jr. and daughter-in-law Carrie Ann of Terryville, daughter June Case of Bristol, and son Robin Case and daughter-in-law Cheryl-Ann of Plantsville. Also, brother Harlan Case of Guilford, sister
Olive San Juan of Southington, brother Homer Case of Plainville, brother Edward Case of Plainville, brother Richard Case of Southington, sister Ella Ross of Enfield. Grandchildren: Chester B. Case III, Douglas Case, Adam Case and Brandon Case. One Godchild: Wendy Bond of Tolland, several nieces and nephews and many friends. He was predeceased by brothers Howard Case and Clarence Case.
His hobbies included solitaire, gardening, woodworking, bread baking, bingo, bike riding knitting slippers, and napping during NASCAR races.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 6 at 7pm at DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. in Southington. Burial will be at the State Veteran's Cemetery in Middletown In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to donors choice of hospice or favorite charity.
