Chris? passion was for the special place he created for his family in Sebago Lake, ME, and his children continue to share this gift with their families. Chris was blessed to spend this last summer at the lake with them boating, dining and taking in ball games. When not at the lake, Chris and Alice spent all of their time together doing their favorite things - such as home improvement projects and traveling to other favorite vacation spots including Sarasota, FL. Although they will miss him dearly, they are eternally grateful for the amazing gifts he has passed along, such as his uncanny ability to fix anything and his easy, genuine sense of humor.
The Gamber family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to his loving caretakers at the Hospital of Central CT Bradley Campus ICU, the Southington Care Center, and the Hospital for Special Care. Chris was blessed to be under the loving care of his son-in-law, Dr. Craig Bogdanski, whose courageous treatment enabled him enjoy the highest possible quality of life this summer with his family and friends.
Through all the sweetness in his life, he knew what God had made him;
For in the final days of summer, surrounded by his family and the presence of the Lord;
He set out to find his future, the one he'd always known;
He didn't want to leave his family, but he knew the Lord had called him home;
'Cause he was the rock, he was the one we ran to;
And when he said the words forever, we knew that it was true;
He wasn't a saint, he is the one the saints bow to, receiving a man? a man of his word.
