Claudia Fortier

Claudia Fortier, 52, of Southington passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, July 4, 2014 after fighting a courageous battle with cancer at HCC at New Britain General. She was born in Southington on April 26, 1962. She was a graduate of Southington High School and was employed as a Sales Rep. for The Hartford Insurance.

Claudia was very active in sports and travel. She loved boating, the beach, skiing and traveling the world. She loved her family and friends and surrounded herself with them, enjoying many happy times together.

She is survived by her mother Josephine (Andres) Fortier of Southington and her father Robert Fortier and his wife Del of Derby, a sister Kim (Fortier) Bohigian of Southington, niece Ashley Bohigian-Brown and her husband Kalen Brown, nephew Chad Bohigian and his fiance Eliza Carandang and close aunts, uncles and cousins. She also leaves many loving friends including lifelong friends Ellen Bridgman and Lisa Foley.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 9:15 am from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Southington to St. Thomas Church at 10 am. Burial will be at St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Monday from 4-8 pm.
