He grew up in Southington, CT where he attended and graduated from Southington High School in 1980. He lived in many places but recently resided in New Britain, CT.
At a young age David had a love for mechanics. He loved anything that was mechanical and loved to take things apart and put them back together. During high school, David worked at Goodyear. After graduation, Goodyear sent him off to an extensive training program in Georgia to become a certified technician. He also worked for GT Tire as a head mechanic and Firestone where he certified as an ASE Certified Master Mechanic in all 8 fields. Dave often did side jobs for friends and if you couldn’t afford it, he would work out a deal with you. He was just that type of guy, he loved to help a friend. His son Anthony followed in his footsteps, learning to become a mechanic. He often called his father for advice on fixing vehicles.
David loved spending time with his children. When they were younger, many Saturday nights were spent watching “Saturday Night Live” and then waking up on Sunday morning and prepare french toast to eat for breakfast or taking them to Dunkin Donuts. If one of his children needed something he did his best to provide for them. He was a proud father and spoke highly of them. He looked forward to their calls and loved to talk about how they were doing. He had a love for old western movies, loved to snowmobile in the winter, and when he was younger, you could always find him tinkering under the hood of a car and he would never turn down a stray cat. If you spoke with David on the phone, he always ended the call with “Over and Out.”
He was a beloved father, son, brother, uncle, and friend who will be missed by everyone who knew him.
