

Born in Waterbury on June 13, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Edson and Anna (Tyrell) Seymour. During WWII, she supported the effort by working at several manufacturing companies with military affiliations in the Waterbury area. She was a Wolcott resident since 1947 and a parishioner of St. Pius X Church. She loved to crochet and prepare Italian meals for her family. She was also an avid fan of UCONN women?s basketball and the Boston Red Sox.
Mrs. Longo is survived by her son Edmond A. ?Bud? Longo and his wife Elaine of Wolcott, her four daughters, Joan Kane of Wolcott, Sue and her husband Peter Koeller of Waterbury, Marie and her husband Thom Lamm of Annapolis, MD, Sandy and her husband David Merrill of Waterbury, sixteen grandchildren, Cynthia Murphy, Jo-Ann Lesnikoski, William Kane Jr., Martin Kane, Michael Longo, Lori LaRosa, Stephen Longo, Tracie Geary, Vincent Longo Jr., Gregory Longo, Diane Woodley, Christine Loescher, Jennifer Koeller, Peter Koeller Jr., Shane Gagne, Courtney Gagne-Lamm, thirty-one great grandchildren, three great-great granddaughters and a lifelong dear friend Theresa Palladino. She was predeceased by a son Vincent Longo, two brothers Thomas and Edson Seymour, a sister Rosetta Gabaree, and a grandson Edmond Longo Jr.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 11 AM at St. Pius X Church 525 Woodtick Rd in Wolcott. Burial of her cremains will be privately held in Edgewood Cemetery. There are no calling hours. The DellaVecchia Funeral Home in Wolcott has been entrusted with her arrangements.
