Fernand Michaud

Born August 2, 1921 in St. Agatha, Maine, he was the son of the late Albert and Zenaide (Audibert) Michaud. Jack was a veteran of WWII serving with the US Army. He retired in 1990 from the Ironworkers' Hartford Local 15.

Jack loved to dance, especially the jitterbug and won numerous dance contests.

He is survived by his four children, Ruth (Carey) Doucette and her husband Michael of Bristol; Carl Michaud and his wife Debbie of Unionville, Charlene Michaud of Bangor, ME and Donna Michaud of Port St. Lucie, FL;

4 grandchildren; Christopher Carey and his wife Gretchen, Peter Carey and his wife Dawn, Bridgette Hamilton and Melinda Michaud; Five great grandchildren, Shannon, Evan and Cassandra Carey,Nicole and Nicholas Hamilton, a sister, Priscilla Dufour of Van Buren, Maine and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 2 brothers, Val and Clarence Michaud and a sister, Georgette Misiek.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 9, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Assoc., PO Box 5022, Wallingford, CT 06492. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
