Born April 24, 1946 in Wallingford, a son of the late Salvatore and Frances (Bernard) Barbera.
Frank was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving with both the U.S. Marines and Navy. He was employed by R&L Transportation.
In addition to his wife he was a loving father of Jennifer Geel and husband Sean of Southington; two special grandsons, Shamus and Cullan Geel and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He also leaves two sisters- in- law and a brother-in-law, Joyce Hines and husband Russell of Glastonbury and Judy Then of Meriden.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 19, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington. Burial with military honors will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Meriden. Calling hours will be from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 825 Brooks St., I91 Tech Ctr., Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
