

He was born September 6, 1954 in Tracy, California and was a lifelong resident of the California, Nevada and Idaho area. Gary was predeceased by his father Bruce Bailor and mother Elsie (Michel) Bailor, as well as by his wife, Patricia (Key) Bailor. Gary was a hard working 5th generation Drywall Contractor and was a much respected name in his field. One love of Gary?s life was riding his Harley. His biggest and best ride was in summer of 2008 when he rode solo from California to Connecticut and back.
Gary loved his family and friends fiercely and deeply. He was a good provider, strong shoulder, as well as chef extraordinaire. He was an ?off the hook? father and grandfather.
His is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Michille and Huntley Jackson, and four grand-daughters: Keyla, Kellen, Kendra, and Klea, all of Southington. He is also survived by a son, Jess Bailor and grand-daughter Fayth, both of Sparks, Nevada. Gary leaves behind a sister, Ginger Bailey of N. Highlands, California, with whom he had the best friendship, as well as a brother, Greg Bailor of California, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He also leaves behind some very close friends; of note: John Vawter, who he loved like a son, Pugsley, Tattoo Russ, Phil Perry, Sam & Julie, Dave & Deb StClair, Denny, and R.D.
DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 North Main St., Southington is in charge of arrangements. There will be no calling hours at the request of the family. Instead, a Celebration of Gary?s life will be scheduled for the springtime in the Nevada desert Gary loved so much.
