Gary was born in Waterbury on December 16, 1950 and attended Wolcott High School. He served in the US Marine Corps for thirteen months in Vietnam with the 1st Force Recon Company. He loved camping, the outdoors and was a big NASCAR fan.
Gary is survived by four brothers Kenneth of Coral Springs, FL, David, William F. , and Raymond Gauthier all of Waterbury, three sisters Nancy McKennerney of Waterbury, Mary Willette of Wolcott, and Joany Petruzzi of Thomaston. He also leaves several nieces and nephews, an aunt, and two uncles. He was predeceased by two sons Gary Jr. and John and a brother Douglas Gauthier.
Graveside services with full military honors will be held at 10 AM on Friday at Edgewood Cemetery 389 Boundline Rd. in Wolcott. There are no calling hours.
