
Born in New Britain on January 28, 1941, George was the son of the late Carl and Rose (Sokolowski) Olson.
He was a retired employee of the Metropolitan District Commission where he worked for over 10 years. George was an entrepreneur owning several businesses including a ceramics company Wood and Bisque and an automobile repair station in New Britain. George was also a musician and owned the Sound of Life music store and led a band by that same name. He was a trained journeyman tool and die maker and a licensed baker. George was a devoted family man and enjoyed gardening. Although he passed away suddenly and young it must be said that George enjoyed a full and happy life. George was greatly loved and will be dearly missed by his family and all who knew him.
Besides his wife George is survived by a son Erik and his wife Jennifer Olson of Southington, a daughter Tanya Earley of Chicago, a daughter Stacy and her husband Scott Ebberling of High Point, NC, a brother Richard and his wife Frances Olson of Manchester, a sister Irene Gallo of Plainville, three grandchildren Matthew and Dylan Olson of Southington, Frankie Podrebartz of NC and several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home 211 N. Main St. Southington.
