Georgette Dion

Born in Waterbury on August 5, 1930, she was the daughter of the late George and Lucianna (Blanchard) Benoit. She was a retired employee of Devon Precision in Wolcott. She was a life long parishioner of St. Anne Church and a member of the Ladies of St. Anne. She enjoyed knitting, playing cards and Blackies hot dogs that were usually brought to her by her grandchildren Stefanie and Tom.

Georgette is survived by two sons Gerard "Gerry" Dion of Wolcott, Gary Dion and his wife Sherry of Homasassa, FL, a daughter -in-law Agnes Dion of Bristol, five grandchildren Stefanie Dion-Jones and her husband Matthew, Thomas Dion, Jennifer Clement and her husband Harry, Brittany Dion, Arianna Dion, two great grandchildren Peyton and Taylor Clement. Besides her beloved husband of 64 years, she was predeceased by a son George, her sister Cecile Benoit and unexpectedly in August her daughter-in-law Terri (Groleau) Dion.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM on Tuesday at The Shrine of St. Anne for Mothers 515 S. Main St in Waterbury followed by a procession to Calvary Cemetery for burial of her cremains.
