
He was the husband of Elsie (Bonafonte) Culver.
He was born Oct. 4, 1922 in Newington, son of the late Howard M. Culver Sr. and Emma (Lee) Culver. He was retired from United Technologies Research Center in E. Hartford. Mr. Culver was a U.S. Navy veteran serving in WW II and was a member of the American Legion in Kensington.
Besides his wife he is survived by his children, Edwin and his wife Gloria Culver of New Haven, Jeffrey Culver of Narragansett, RI, Karen and her husband Felix Rymsza of Waterford, Nancy and her husband Neil Wasserman of Southington, a brother Paul Culver of Kensington, 2 sisters, June Ryan of Southington and Sylvia Hawes of Berlin, 6 grandchildren, Anne, Ali, Kathryn, Sarah, Adam and Alec, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 2 brothers, Edwin and Harvey and 3 sisters, Rachael, Dorothy and Emma.
The family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses at NBGH for all the care they have given during his stay there.
The Funeral will be held Sunday 3 p. m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at Rose Hill Cemetery in Rocky Hill. Calling hours will be Sunday from 1-3 p.m. Donations may be made in his memory to the Wolfson Palliative Care, c/o The Developmental Office at the Hospital of Central CT, 100 Grand St., New Britain, CT 06051.
