

Born Aug. 12, 1925 in Little Silver, NJ he was the son of the late John and Agnes (McHugh) Lord.
James proudly served his country during WWII and the Korean War with the U.S. Navy. He was awarded the Liberation Star, Victory Medal, Good Conduct Medal and the Asiatic Pacific 4 Star. He retired from New Departure, where he worked for over 13 years and was formerly an independent floor covering contractor. He has been a Southington resident since 1964 formerly of New York and was an avid Yankees and NY Giants fan.
Besides his wife he leaves his children, Lauri Welling and husband Glenn of Newport Beach, CA, Robert Lord and wife Pamela of N. Weymouth, MA, Diana Marroquin of Middletown, NY and Steven Lord and wife Patricia of Plantsville, 13 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Edward and John Lord and four sisters, Sr. Mary Lord, Virginia Huber and Deloris and Eileen Lord.
The family invites you to celebrate Jame?s life on Saturday March 19, 2011 from 7 to 10 PM in the Glass Room at the Aqua Turf 556 Mulberry St. in Plantsville.
