Jane "Jean"

Born in Caron Shore, Scotland on June 24, 1909. She was the daughter of the late William and Mary Ann (Wanless) Robertson. She first immigrated from Scotland in 1920 just after WWI to VT. Then moved to Detroit, MI where her father and brothers worked in the auto industry. Then returned to VT and then back to Scotland. She met her husband Alexander in Scotland married in 1934 in Glasgow. Following World War II they came back to the US and settled in Wolcott in 1948, where she lived for the majority of her life. At age 101, she was the oldest living member of the Wolcott Congregational Church. Her favorite activity was gardening.

Besides her two daughters Marcia and Sheila, Jane is survived by five grandchildren, Linda and her husband Patrick Hayes of Waterbury, April and her husband Paul MacDonald, James Booker all of Wolcott, Andrew and his wife Michelle Booker of Westfield, MA, Holly Booker and her partner Mark Clark of New Haven, nine great grandchildren, two great great grandchildrenand several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by ten siblings.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 1 PM at Wolcott Congregational Church 185 Center St. in Wolcott. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Wolcott Congregational Church.
