Jean M. DelSanto McKay

Langhorne, PA – Jean M. DelSanto McKay, 71, of Langhorne, PA., died peacefully on Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at the Buckingham Valley Nursing Center in Buckingham, PA. She was the beloved wife of 50 years, Daniel J. McKay.

Born in New Britain, a daughter of the late Jon and Jennie (Colite) DelSanto.

Mrs. McKay was a resident of Langhorne for the past three years. She formerly lived in Churchville and Buckingham.

Jean was a graduate of Waterbury Hospital School of Nursing, class of 1959. Prior to her retirement in 2001, she was employed for 14 years with Dr. William Warrender, MD in family practice in Southampton and worked as a registered nurse for 10 years for Dr. Richard Taddonio, MD in Fairless Hills. In her leisure time, Jean enjoyed playing tennis, bowling, cooking and traveling. She was a former communicant of St. Bede the Venerable Church in Holland, St. Vincent dePaul Church in Richboro, Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Buckingham and Queen of the Universe Church in Levittown. Mrs. McKay was family oriented and devoted to her family. She will be sadly missed as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. 

Besides her husband, she leaves her daughter, Kim Alison Brady and her husband Scott of Warminster, PA; her son Keith P. McKay and his life partner, Rick Levine of Haddonfield, NJ; five loving grandchildren, Brooke, Paige, Dylan, Anderson and Kendrick. She was predeceased by a son Daniel John McKay and a brother John “Jack” DelSanto.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2008 at 12 noon at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington. Calling hours will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the American Heart Assoc., Memorial Fulfillment Center, 5455 N. High St., Columbus, Ohio 43214.
