

John A. Derynoski, 87, of Southington passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at the Southington Care Center surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Shirley (Porterfield) Derynoski of 66 years.
Born August 28, 1926 in Southington he was the son of the late Stanley K. and Mary (Dembiaski) Derynoski.
John was a veteran of WW II serving with the U.S. Navy in the Pacific. He retired from New England Air Craft and was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church. He was a life member of the American Legion Post 72.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, David Derynoski and wife Mary Lou, Michael Derynoski and wife Cari and Christine Flugrad and husband Russell and son-in-law James Putnam all of Southington; 7 grandchildren and 7great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a daughter Charlene Putnum a granddaughter Darlene Derynoski, two brothers Edward and Walter Derynoski and a sister Alice Dutton.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, 11 a.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington. Burial with military honors will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
