

Southington- John Berardinelli, 87, of Bristol St. died suddenly on March 27, 2010 at home. He was the husband of the recently deceased Domenica (Tomenzoli) Bernardinelli. Born June 28, 1922 in New Britain, son of the late Carlo and Concetta (Caccamo) Berardinelli.
Prior to his retirement, John worked at Stanley Works in New Britain for 35 years. He was an avid duckpin bowler and was still bowling in a Wednesday morning league at Highland Bowl in Cheshire. He was a long time member of the Generale Ameglio Club in New Britain. He was a bicycle enthusiast and a soccer fan. He was well known at Southington Care Center where he helped out for three years while his wife was residing there. John love cooking for family and friends and did it with flair. He enjoyed telling jokes and finding the funny side of life. Family and his many friends will miss his infectious personality.
John is survived by his son, Carlo Berardinelli and his wife Patricia of Southington, his two grandchildren, Julia and Matthew Berardinelli, sisters Tina Haddad and Mary Caramia, brother, Panfilo (Pat) Berardinelli, and many nieces and newphews. He was predeceased by sisters Yolanda Cestonaro, Caroline Nicotera and Josephina Gambino.
The Funeral will be held Wednesday 9:15 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. to St. Dominic Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be at St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday 5-8 p.m. Donations may be made in his memory to the Southington Care Center, 45 Meriden Ave. Southington, CT 06489.
