He was born in Waterbury, February 14, 1964 and was the son of Ruth C. (Atherton) DiStiso of Plantsville and the late John C. DiStiso.
John was employed by Central CT Tank Fab & Truck as a welder for many years.
Known for his infectious humor and generous heart, he touched the lives of everyone he met. A true craftsman at heart, John had a passion for building, welding and metal work.
In addition to his mother he leaves his three children, Lydia DiStiso and partner Kayla Montalvo of Bristol, Brittany DiStiso and partner Anjel Lopez of Chicago and John V. DiStiso and wife Juliana of Phoenix, AZ; a brother, Christopher DiStiso and wife Alejandra of Southington; a sister, Lorie Goulette and husband Rod of Southington; nephew, C.J. Berube (Melissa); niece, Mallorie LeBrun (Mark) and a great-nephew Wyatt Berube.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May, 23, 2024 at 6 p.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington. Calling hours will be prior to the service from 4-6 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or by going to www.stjude.org/give .
