Jonathan David Rome

Jonathan David Rome, 44, of Wallingford, beloved husband of Christine Marie (Davenport) Rome, passed away suddenly on Monday, April 3, 2023 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. Jonathan was born in Hartford on November 28, 1978 and was the son of Deborah (Frankel) Rome and the late Michael Lee Rome. A hard working father and husband, Jonathan was a salesman for Ashley Furniture where he loved to take care of customers. That same care was also shown to those individuals he called his family and friends. He would do anything for them and at any time, day or night! As an avid hockey fan and player, Jonathan loved The Boston Bruins along with the Celtics and Red Sox. Jonathan had an extremely large circle of family and friends that he cared for deeply and will miss him. However, his biggest joy in life was his two daughters, Jasmine Leigh and Sophia Brooklyn. He was a proud father and worked very hard to create the perfect life for them. Besides his wife Christine, Jonathan is survived by his brother, Matthew Rome and his children Sammy, Brynne and Julian along with their mother Lisa who reside in Chicago, his cousin whom he treated just like a brother, Marc Frankel and his two sons, Preston and Morgan who live in Hoboken, NJ. Jonathan is also survived by his in laws, John and Roxanne Davenport of Meriden and by his brother in law, William Davenport and his wife Lauren and their children, Madison and Liam. Calling hours for Jonathan will be held on Monday, April 10, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington, CT 06489. Jonathan’s funeral will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Emanuel Synagogue, 160 Mohegan Dr. West Hartford, CT 06117. Everyone is asked to meet at the temple. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery, 817 Old Colony Road, Meriden, CT 06451. Shiva information to follow.
