Joseph Telesco

Joseph Telesco, 60, formerly of Southington passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at the South Curtis St. Group Home in Wallingford. He was born Aug. 18, 1963 in Southington the son of the late Joseph and Jennie (Galiette) Telesco.

He had worked as a groundskeeper for the Meriden Parks and Rec. Dept. In his younger years he was active in CT Special Olympics.

Joseph is survived by his two sisters, Ann Marie Capo and husband Robert of Naples, FL and Jeanette Telesco-East of Hudson, FL, a nephew Aaron Lazar and wife Elizabeth, and two great nephews, Nicholas and Andrew Lazar all of Milton, MA, as well as his fellow housemates at his group home. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law, George East.

A memorial mass will be celebrated Monday, June 3, at 11 a.m. at Mary Our Queen Church, 248 Savage St. Plantsville. Burial will follow at St. Thomas Cemetery. There are no calling hours. DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Southington, is assisting with arrangements.

The Family would like to thank the entire staff of the South Curtis St. Group Home: especially Jessica, Sherri and Lenny for their love and devotion to Joe. He will be dearly missed by the entire staff as well as by his housemates.
