Leonora F. Carbone

Born May 8, 1928 in Meriden, a daughter of the late William J. and

Mary (Suzio) Smith. Leonora was a graduate of Meriden High School and attended the N.B. Teachers College. She was employed at the Clark Brothers Bolt Co. in Milldale. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church, a member of the Southington Women's Club, Bradley Auxiliary, an avid UCONN huskies basketball fan and NY Yankee fan.

Her family was her pride and joy, her children and grandchildren will deeply miss her.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by five children and their spouses; Mark A. and Ewa Carbone of Meriden, William R. Carbone of Orange, Mary Lee Carbone of Virginia, Ralph M. and Lauryn Carbone of Cheshire, Kim and Lee Pandiani of Meriden; two sisters, Frances Frederick and her husband James, Sr. and Mary (Pony) Sieracki both of Meriden; a sister-in-law, Marie Cook and her husband Walter of Palm Beach Garden, FL and Southington; 8 grandchildren, Carla, Andrew and David Carbone, Katherine, Ryan and Brendan Carbone, Austin and Christine Pandiani; dear family friend, Agatha Sniezek and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2007 at 9 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 North Main St., Southington to St. Joseph Church, 22 Goodwill Ave., Meriden for a mass at 10 a.m. Entombment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Calling hours will be Friday (TODAY) from 4-8 p.m. Donations may be made to the Hospital of Central CT.
