

Lois (Tomasiello) Koss, 88, of Southington, beloved wife of the late Edward Koss, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Born in Waterbury, Connecticut, on September 12, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Olympia (Guererra) Tomasiello.
A proud graduate of Waterbury Catholic High School, Lois went on to attend the renowned Katharine Gibbs Secretarial School in Boston, becoming one of the highly regarded “Gibbs Girls.” She began her professional career as an Executive Assistant with Travelers Insurance, where she worked until her retirement in 1993. Never one to slow down, she then devoted many years to Workforce Connection as a Case Manager, compassionately guiding countless individuals toward employment opportunities and financial support. She continued working until just one month before her 80th birthday.
Lois was deeply committed to public service and remained active in local politics throughout her life. She was a dedicated member of the Republican Town Committee and Board of Ethics in Waterbury.
Lois embraced life with enthusiasm and treasured every moment spent with those she loved. She enjoyed Italian food, local adventures and cherished vacations to Long Beach Island with Edward and his family. Family was the heart of her world, and her greatest joy came from holidays, celebrations, and gatherings that brought everyone together.
She took immense pride in the accomplishments of her grandnieces and grandnephews and will be remembered for her warm spirit, unwavering work ethic, and unforgettable personality. Lois was known for her spirited driving, her fondness for Brooklyn Bakery donuts, and the wide circle of friends she gathered throughout her life.
Lois is survived by her loving sister, Patricia Parisi, and her husband, Joseph; her devoted nephews and nieces: Michael Parisi and his wife Kim, Paula Weeks and her husband Tim, Gina Parisi and her partner Paul Teixeira, and Mark Parisi and his wife Marcie. She also leaves behind her cherished grandnieces and grandnephews, Elizabeth, Bria, Nicolas, Melissa, Isabella, Victoria, Giuseppe, and Vitabella; great grandnephew, Spencer along with many extended family members and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
At Lois’ request, all services will be held privately with her family. There will be no calling hours.
