Lucille (Allard) D’Agostino 101, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2025, with family by her side at Hospital of Central CT New Britain. She went home to be with Our Lord and Savior Jesus, and we take comfort in knowing of her spoken assurance that he had a place prepared for her; as one of his children. She was the loving wife of the late Anthony P. D’Agostino for 73 years.
Born in Bristol, December 5, 1923, to the late Emile and Clara Allard. She graduated from Central High School and married Anthony and they were blessed with four beautiful children. She worked at General Electric in Plainville Ct for 15 yrs. She was a valuable employee and a hard worker, loved by everyone. She was a former member of St. Anthonys Church in Bristol and subsequently St. Thomas Church in Southington.
Passionately devoted to faith and family; She taught us how to love and to forgive. That it is more blessed to give than receive, and that a loving and supportive family is a blessing not to be taken for granted, that good health, and a warm home were also blessings to be thankful for.
She went to church every Sunday and after church; Sunday dinners were a favorite for all. Everybody loved her meatballs and sauce! All of the best Holidays were the better because of her. If you were fortunate enough to be one of her grandchildren, you might know that her house was the favorite place to be, sleep overs we’re a must, lots of fun and much happiness (perhaps a little spoiling). When the great grandchildren visited, they remember her hugs & kisses & watching her favorite movies.
She enjoyed shopping, and when she shopped the “can can” sale it was like Christmas”! She enjoyed tag sales, getting her hair done, going out to lunch, visiting with her family, and in her 90s she liked going to the Casino. She was a giver and a servant to all. She welcomed everyone with open arms; Embracing those who needed it most, and even becoming the grandmother to someone who never known one.
She lived out this scripture, Philippians 2:3-5;
3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.5 In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus.
Dearly devoted Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Great Great Grandmother. She leaves behind her children; Rosemarie “Chickie” Tedesco with whom she made her home for 20 years, Annette “Tina” Bengston both of Southington and Anthony & Helen Dagostino of Port St. Lucie FL; grandchildren Melissa & Jonathan St. James (Kalispell, MT), Brian Bengston, Todd & Chauntelle D’Agostino (Tyler, TX), Matthew D’Agostino, (Tyler, TX) Lisa Robinson (Atlanta, GA), Kristina Badenhorst (Ashby, MA), David D’Agostino II; great grandchildren Erica & Vincent VanLancker, Cameron & Tyrel Miller and Luke St. James, Reagan & Nathan Bengston, Sophie D’Agostino & Kayla Dupree, Caitlyn & Jake Robinson, Sophie & Brandon Badenhorst; two great great grandchildren Addison and Jude VanLancker; sister-in-law Annette D’Agostino of Southington and nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
She is preceded in death by her son David D’Agostino, son in law Thomas Tedesco Jr., son in law Joseph Bengston, grandson Michael Bengston, sisters Rosemarie Allard, Clara Degarie Eileen Fortier; brother Emile Allard, brothers in law and sisters in law. We will surely miss you, love you endlessly, ever looking back fondly on the multitude of cherished memories, life lessons, and with great hope of where we someday hope to see you, until we meet again…
