Margaret Keith of Wolcott, surrounded by loving family and friends, witty and feisty to the end, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Southington Care Center at the age of 81. Peg was born in Waterbury and raised by her Grandmother Howell. She was the wife of the late Arnold C. Keith.
She married the love of her life, Arnold, in 1953 and proceeded to populate the world with little Keith's. She is survived by her cherished children: Patricia Fitzgerald (Daniel) of Cape Cod, Maureen Esposito (Peter) of FL Sharon Pomposi (Stephen) of Plantsville, Rosemary Nass (James) of Marlborough, Margaret Keith of Southington, Elizabeth Keith of Wolcott, Frederick Keith (Jennifer) of Cheshire, and many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Peg was predeceased by three sons, Billy, Arnie, and Bobby.
Peg was a hard worker and a woman of many talents: Over the years, she worked as a secretary for American Brass in Waterbury, her husband's pharmacy, managing Keith Pools, as a clerk at Wolcott Town Hall, and as secretary for St. Aloysius Church. Additionally, she volunteered at many church activities. She prided herself on being the "chief cook and bottle washer" for her family while fulfilling insane laundry demands. When she retired, her hobbies included sewing, knitting, crosswords, jeopardy, and enjoying the lake life.
The family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation for the kind treatment provided by all the staff at Southington Care Center.
