

Marie Carlene (Hall) Adams, 90, of Southington and New Port Richey FL., passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2023 at the HOCC at New Britain General surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Kenneth Adams for 53 years until his passing in 2005.
Born August 20, 1932 in China, ME., she was the daughter of the late Maurice and Irene (Kitchen) Hall, moving to Connecticut in her High School years, returning to Maine to marry the love of her life Kenneth Adams in 1952 and returning to start their life eventually settling in Southington in 1955.
Marie was a graduate of Plainville High School. She was one of the original waitresses at the Southington Pizza House for many years. She also worked at Clark Bolt, Southington Hardware, Liberty Industries and Stars Department Stores and opened Adams Paint and Wallpaper in Southington with her husband until retirement.
Affectionately known as Grandma and Gigi she loved to spend time and dote over her grandchildren and great grandchildren, with her incredible memory telling stories of growing up in Maine, with her Maine accent which she never lost and that was a source of many laughs, reading, playing games on her tablet, writing recipes for the family, and just being surrounded by Family, Friends, and Friends to be. She will be dearly missed by all that new her and we will always remember her kind heart, warm smile, and amazing laugh. To know her was to Love her.
She is survived by her son Mark Adams and daughter Stacey Wernicki and her partner Dale Koeller all of Southington; her grandchildren, Ann Marie Lanzofano (Frank), Cheryl Kennedy (John), Kenneth Adams (Doryon), Gerald Wernicki (Angelica), Jacob Wernicki and James Wernicki; great grandchildren, Alivia and Charlotte Adams, John and Joseph Kennedy, Sicily, Everly and Eli Wernicki along with many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind many cherished friends in Florida, especially Cathy Wilson who lovingly listened to Mom’s stories for hours and was never far from her side.
Marie was predeceased by her Daughter in Law Maryann Adams with whom she had an incredible bond.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 10 a.m. at Grace United Methodist Church, 121 Pleasant St., Southington. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours.
