Marie Bruton

Southington - Marie “Jane” Burns Bruton, 63, of 279 Mandel Dr., passed away, Thursday, June 19, 2008 at the Hospital of Central CT at New Britain, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Robert A. Bruton.

Born July 14, 1944 in Bryn Mawr, PA she was the daughter of Mary Ellen (Miller) Burns of PA and the late John Burns.

Jane retired from the Somers Sanitation Co.

Besides her husband and mother, she is survived by three children; Robert A. Bruton Jr. and his wife Amie of Bristol, Christopher J. Bruton of Southington, Heather M. Dancsak and her husband Joseph J. Jr. of E. Haddam; a grandson, Aloysius Jack Bruton; two brothers; John Burns of NC and Kevin Burns of NY; three sisters, Patricia Barton, Kathleen McCourry and Jacqueline Jacobson all of PA along with numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. The family would like to thank the nurses in the critical care unit at the HCC at New Britain General for all the wonderful care given to Jane.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 23, 2008 at 9:15 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington to St. Dominic Church, 1050 Flanders Rd., Southington for a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. Donations may be made to the Hospital of Central CT, Development Office, Intensive Care Unit, In memory of Marie Bruton, 100 Grand St., P.O. Box 100, New Britain, CT 06050-0100.
