Marie was the daughter of the late Jerry and Elizabeth (Russolillo) Pomponio. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School and was a former employee of Benrus in Danbury. She and her husband were communicants of Immaculate Conception Church in Waterbury.
Besides her beloved husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Nicholas Pomponio. She is survived by a nephew, Gerald Pomponio of Wolcott, two sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Gravel and Dianne Gavitt both of Southington, a brother-in-law, Carl Davino of Norfolk, VA.
Graveside services will be on Thursday at 10 AM at Calvary Cemetery 2324 East Main St. in Waterbury. There are no calling hours. The DellaVecchia Funeral Home in Wolcott has been entrusted with her arrangements.
