

Born August 11, 1937 in New Britain at home, she was the daughter of the late Leon and Marianna (Kalinowski) Sarnowski Sr.
Marion was a graduate of New Britain High School class of 1955 and St. Mary’s School of Nursing class of 1958. She had a long career as Certified Nurse (CNOR) in the operating room for over 40 years at New Britain General where she made many life- long friends. She was a member of the Central CT Red Hat Society, St. Thomas Ladies Guild and the St. Mary’s School of Nursing group. Marion spent many wonderful summers with her family and friends at her second home in Harwich Cape Cod, MA.
She leaves her two children, Laura Rugh of Bristol and Paul Sadowski of Plainville; two granddaughters, Amie Rugh of Southington and Ann-Marie Rinato of FL; two great grandsons, Shawn Michael and James Edward Lydem; two nephews, Edwin and Alex Jazwinski of Harwich Port, MA; great nephew Dr. Roger Green of Ft. Lauderdale, FL along with many loved nieces and nephews. She also leaves many friends, especially Ginger Stewart, Janet Mirabelli and her niece Lois Brower who were by her side during her battle with cancer and her helper Mark Brochu.
She was predeceased by her granddaughter Rachel Mae Rugh; four brothers, Stanley, Frank, John and Leon Jr. and two sisters, Helen Evanowski and Yadwiga Jazwinski.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, September 24th from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington followed by a service at 12 p.m.in the funeral home.
