Marla Parent

Marla A. (Liburdi) Parent, 50 of Southington CT, entered eternal rest on Wednesday June 20, 2018 at Autumn Lake Health Care in New Britain, with the love of her family by her side, after a courageous battle with cancer. Marla was born April 4, 1968 to her parents Victor Liburdi and Carol A. (Barrett) (Liburdi) Goodhart. She grew up in Southington, CT with the love of her family and friends and lovingly referred to by her brothers as Lala. Marla attended Southington High School and after graduating attended Tunxis Community College. She always had a love for young children, leading her to become a Nanny, preparing her for her greatest joy in life, being a wonderful mother to her son. Marla married her husband Jeffrey Parent in August of 2003, which gave way to starting her beautiful life as a wife and mother. They were blessed with a beautiful son Cameron Joseph Parent and growing together as a family in Southington, CT whom she lives behind and will be greatly missed by. Besides her husband and son, Marla leaves behind her father Victor Liburdi and his wife Marsha (Russo) Liburdi of Stonington CT, her mother Carol A. (Barrett) Goodhart and her husband Eric Goodhart of Hubbardston MA, her two brothers Andrew (Melissa) Liburdi of Wethersfield CT and Mark (Gina) Liburdi and her niece Gianna Liburdi all of Detroit MI, her grandmother Katherine Barrett of Berlin CT, her father and mother-in-law Joseph and Gemma Parent of Southington CT as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her grandparents Giuseppe and Carmela Liburdi and her grandfather Joseph Barrett. The family will be accepting guest to pay their respects on Sunday June 24, 2018 from 3:00pm to 6:00pm at Della Vecchia Funeral Home 211 North Main St Southington CT 06489. Funeral services will start at Della Vecchia Funeral Home Monday June 25, 2018 from 9:30am to 10:30am continuing with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas Church 99 Bristol St Southington CT 06489 on Monday June 25, 2018 at 11:00am. Entombment and committal service immediately following Mass at St. Mary's Cemetery 1141 Stanley St New Britain CT 06051. In lieu of flowers donations in Marla's name can be made to her son's College Education Fund.
