
She was predeceased by her husbands, Louis Carbone and Lee Lawrie III.
Born September 21, 1913 in Bristol she was the daughter of the late Rocco and Jennie (Grimaldi) Galgano.
She is survived by her son, John Carbone and fiancée Annette Esposito of Plantsville and a daughter, Louise Carbone and Bill Schoonmaker of Southington; her grandchildren, Marie Nason and Dennis, Karen Kraut and Eric, Susan Weber and Michael, Maryellen Palumbo, Amy Brown and Craig; great-grandsons, Zachary Nason, Ronald Fachini, Jack Maurice, Larry and Joseph Weber and AJ Palumbo; great-granddaughters, Natalie Maurice, Megan Palumbo and Veronica Weber. She was predeceased by a daughter Mary Anne McClish and a grandson John Fachini.
Mary was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and friend. Her generous care giving welcomed many into her life. Her great sense of humor and positive attitude contributed to a long and fulfilling life. As an avid Yankee fan she was recognized in a letter from the Yankee organization on her 90th birthday for being a dedicated fan for many years. She will be missed by many – but not forgotten.
The family wishes to extend their thanks to the staff at Ingraham Manor and a special thanks to the Hospice staff at Bristol Hospital who treated her with dignity and love which she richly deserved.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 3. 2009 at 9:45 am from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington to St. Thomas Church, 99 Bristol St. for a mass at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m.
