Mary Mancini

She was born on Aug. 23, 1920, the daughter of the late Antonio and Jennie (Zanni) D?Angelo. Over the years, she and her husband Dan, in partnership with their families owned and operated family businesses including Mancini?s Market in Bristol, The Southington Country Club and the Mancini Packing Co. in Zolfo Springs, FL.

She is survived by a son Anthony ?Skip? Mancini and wife Christina of Southington, a daughter Margaret ?Peggy? Mancini and husband James Kavanaugh of Old Saybrook, two grandchildren, Ryan and Regan, she also leaves a brothers-in-law, Frank Mancini of Wachula, FL, Dr. Anthony Mancini of East Haven, sister-in-law Marjorie D?Angelo of Greenwich and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by brothers, Dominic D?Angelo, Armand D?Angelo, Dr. Eugene D?Angelo, Dr. Anthony D?Angelo, Lawrence D?Angelo and Alphonse D?Angelo, sister Caroline Datoli.

The family would like to thank her caregiver Gayanne the staff of The Summit at Plantsville for their great care, compassion and professionalism.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, Jan.19, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Mary Our Queen Church, 248 Savage St. Plantsville, Burial was private. There are no calling hours.
