I am very late to finding out what happened to Matt. I am SO sorry for his family, especially his father who did everything in his power to never abandon him even when times were at their hardest. He and I dated for a short time, and without his addiction as a factor he was such a charismatic and intelligent man. I will miss his memory dearly. All my love and condolences to his family 😓 

We are so very sorry to read of Matt’s passing!  What a battle he had for so long ! His loving Parents tried very hard to help him and are to be commended for their efforts and we hope they find peace knowing they did the very best they could !  Our sincere condolences and Prayers,

Dear Mary, Pete and Family,

Bill and I wanted to send our deepest sympathy and condolences for the loss of your beautiful son Matthew.  Our hearts are broken for you, only comforted that Matthew is now at peace.  It was so touching to see all those who participated in the ZOOM memorial last night.  Mary, you have worked so hard for so many years to help us and our children get the support and help we needed.  I know I speak for so many who do consider you our "guardian angel", and love you for the time you spent assisting us, while all the while having Matthew on your mind.

Mary and Pete, now it is your turn to let us take care of you.  Even if it is just a check-in, a quick email or a note, you know that there are literally dozens of parents and their children who are here for you.  I can't begin to feel the grief you must have, but I hope and pray that when you are ready, you will reach out.  Until then my friends, please know that if Bill and I can help in any way, at any time, please email or call us.

Our deepest condolences for the passing of your son . We know the pain of losing a child to the demon of addiction. My son Daniel, passed 7/2019, overdose. My stepson, Will, passed 5/2019 in Southington- heroin overdose. Judy, my close friend, like a grandma to me, called me and read åMatthew's obituary in the paper today. She lost her son, Steven, 11/2018 in Berlin- heroin overdose. She told me I must write and "Praise God- He's in heaven with Jesus, Father God, and the angels. May God comfort you and hold your fragile heart in His mighty hand in the hours, days, weeks and months ahead. Your son is enveloped in Father's incredible love- for eternity. You will see Matthew again, in God's timing. Know that the demon of addiction has ripped apart so many of our lives, you are not alone.  Sending prayers for all Mathew's loved ones. May the God of the universe be with you always.

Thinking of you during this difficult time. May you find comfort in all the prayers sent for you. 

When Matt was so very little, he almost got it- rolling over. I got on the floor at our Gram's house and showed his how it's done. Not long after it was crawling forward.  He giggled so much, especially when he got it and could scoot around the house faster!  
I remember that giggle again at the beach. He was maybe 3 or 4?? He thought I didnt know he was there putting sand in my hair but his giggle gave him away!
I pray now that that giggle is back. It was gone for too long. 
May the Peace he finds on the Other Side bring him his giggle back.
