Merle D. Gray

He was born April 20, 1927 in Easton, Maine, the son of the late Willard and Eva (Nicholson) Gray.

Merle retired from A.G. Russell. He was a member of Apple Valley Worship Center where he taught Sunday school. He loved planes and building model planes.

In addition to his wife Aleksandra, he is survived by his children Pastor Kenneth Gray and wife Pamela of Southington and Sandra Rulewicz and husband Pastor Robert of Wolcott; six grandchildren, Lisa Greenlee, Marcia Deeb, Paul Gray, Christina Rulewicz, Melody Theriault and Robert Rulewicz Jr. and sixteen great grandchildren. He is also survived by Aleksandra’s children and grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the Apple Valley Worship Center, 594 West Center St. Ext., Southington. Calling hours will be from 12 noon until the time of the service. Burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Apple Valley Worship Center. The DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington is assisting the family with the arrangements.
