Michael "Roc" Donahue

Michael Joseph Donahue, 60, of Punta Gorda, FL died unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at home. He was the husband of Deborah Ann (Wren) Donahue and father of Julia Ann Donahue of Punta Gorda, FL.

Michael ?Roc? was born on March 20, 1952 in Southington, CT, son of Julia Carbone Donahue and the late Brendan Donahue.

He was a graduate of Sandusky High School, Sandusky, OH and Kent State University, where he was a member of Delta Upsilon Fraternity. Working for Sony Signatures in the concert industry, he traveled extensively in the United States, also touring Europe, Japan, and Australia. Working with bands such as the Rolling Stones, Springsteen, Billy Joel, Aerosmith and many others provided Michael with a very exciting career. However, it was marrying Deb and raising his daughter Julia that gave him the most joy in life. Michael was a devoted husband and father.

Michael loved and was loved by his large family, including siblings Paula and husband David Gold, Felice Donahue, Brian Donahue, Mary Rydingsward, Thomas and wife Kimberly Donahue, John and wife Wendy Donahue and brother in law Paul Phaneuf Jr. He had twelve nieces and nephews, many cousins and friends who will miss him. He was predeceased by his sister Lisa Phaneuf.

The Funeral will be Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at 10 am at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 265 Stratton Brook Road, West Simsbury, CT. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at church. Burial will be at St. Thomas Cemetery, Meriden Ave., Southington, CT. Calling hours will be Monday from 4-7 pm at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Southington, CT.
