

She was born February 27, 1916 in Beverly, MA the daughter of the late Anton and Caroline (Johnson) Akeson. Phyllis retired from James Coppola Law Firm in Lynn, MA.
Phyllis enjoyed reading and going shopping. While at the Southington Care Center, Phyllis enjoyed many activities and served on several committees.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Jay and Grace Knipe of Cheshire, two granddaughters; Laura and Emily Knipe, along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Arthur and Chester Akeson and six sisters, Linnea and Ruth Akeson, Florence Julin, Millie Peterson, Alma Sundeen and Edna Carlson.
Calling hours will be Monday, October 7th from 5-8 pm at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home 211 N. Main St., Southington. Internment will be at the convenience of the family. A Memorial service will be held Oct. 26 at 11:30 a.m. at the Community Covenant Church.
