

Born in Waterbury on March 17, 1939 he was the son of the late Edmund and Catherine (Lawlor) Conway. He was employed by Mattatuck Manufacturing for many years and retired from the Robert Shaw Co. As a peacetime veteran of the US Army stationed at West Point, he woke many soldiers each morning as the bugler. Later in life he played Taps at military funerals in this area. He was a devout Catholic and parishioner of the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception. He was and avid RedSox fan and loved the beaches in RI.
Patrick is survived by his sisters Shirley Thiffault of Simsbury, JoAnn and her husband Robert Beaudoin of Wolcott, a sister-in-law Gladys Conway of Waterbury and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Alfred Conway.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Tuesday Dec. 29, at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception 74 West Main St. with burial to follow in New St. Joseph Cemetery.
