

He was born April 22, 1925 in Maine and was a WWII veteran serving with the U.S. Army.
Ray had a love for horses and was the owner of Circle G Stables in Southington. He was a Teamster with Local 671.
He is survived by a daughter, JoAnn Green of Southington; his grandson Robert Parker who he raised as his son and wife Gina of Farmington; sister-in-law and his caregiver, Maryann Fredrickson; a sister Joyce Petralito; five grandchildren, Matthew, Cara, Tamera and Joshua Gooding, and Jamie Kablik; 10 great-grandchildren; Owen, Olivia, Angellina, Froncesca, Victoria, Caitlyn, Cody, Casey, Maeve and Eden and two great great-grandchildren; his former wife Teena Gregory-Gooding, step-son, Gregory Carragan and step-daughter Lisa Kyer. He was predeceased by a son, David Gooding; two brothers, Robert and Charles Gooding and a sister, Phyllis Schaub.
A graveside service with military honors will be held Tuesday, 12 noon at the State Veteran’s Cemetery, Bow Lane, Middletown.
