He was always willing to give me a helping hand whenever asked.
He later became my first Grandsons father.

My sincerest sympathy to the entire Pelletier Family.  I thought I would share some pictures with you all.  I bet you rarely saw Ricky in a tux!  That was in 1997, he went as my sympathy prom date when mine fell through.  Although we parted ways many years ago I always hoped he would do well for himself.  It saddens my heart deeply to know he will not get to see Joey grown up into the intelligent successful man he is becoming. I only hope that he finds peace in knowing his father did love him very much and always wanted to be a part of his life.

The picture here on the obituary was taken on my porch a year ago. He had stayed a few days at my apartment just a few short months ago. He was doing so well despite struggling so hard. Every day my heart broke for him. He struggled both emotionally and spiritually.

I loved Brian's story. I think I remember him telling that story. It was so typical for Ricky. I can picture his sad little face, carrying back a wet empty bag with no coffee - because the coffee leaked and broke the bag. He sure could tell a story, with such detail that you'd laugh until you cried. He had this uncanny ability to laugh at himself.

I'm forever grateful that we stayed friends to the very end. Ricky struggled so much over the past 15 years since our son was born. He wanted so much to change and to do the right thing. He wanted to have a relationship with his son Joey, but he understood how heart-broken his son would be to see him struggle so much. 

Joey would ask about him every so often. He wondered how he was doing and why I couldn't help him more. I explained that there were things that he had to be willing to do himself and that we could not "fix him" only pray for him. 

I pray the Lord will welcome you home, where there is no more crying, no more pain, and no more sorrow. May you find comfort in being reunited with all your loved ones who went before you - your mother, your cousins, your wife, family and friends. May we all meet again one day on the other side.

You will always hold a special place in my heart. You understood depression and sadness, sorrow and grief. You gave sympathy and compassion. May the lord in his mercy grant you eteral rest and perpetual light. Struggle no more my dear friend. There is no sickness and no suffering there. 

I'm sorry I couldn't be there for the services, but your memory will live on in my heart. Steve and I will miss you stopping by, little Stephen will miss "Uncle Re-Re" (as he called himself - he loved that nickname) and Joey will miss out on ever having the chance to get to know his father. You were a good friend, and I wish there was something more I could have done to help. 

My deepest condolences to everyone who knew and loved him, the family, especially Cindy, Deana, Herold and Cheryl, Aunt Linda, Steph, and Joey.

I will never forget the great times we had when I spent the summer with you and and your family...So glad we were able to be connected after so many years. Loved sharing the good times and bad times with you..Ricky you will forever hold a special place in my heart. <3

I was his current girlfriend and he lived with me. He and I were so much alike it was like an instant love connection. I miss him so much the empty space in my bed every day and night. He could make me laugh and cry tears of joy at the same time. We shared so many stories and intimate moment of his life. I will always love him with all of my heart and sole. I know he is now with his Andrea up in heaven. He filled my heart and life with joy. He said something that I will never forget " you gave me a home and a family" he was happy here and I know he loved me and my children so much. I miss my lover, my best friend, and my sole mate. I have never loved someone so much in my life.

To Harold, Cindy and Deana I am so very sorry about the sudden passing of your son and brother. May your memories of him in happy times help to ease some of your pain. To my Aunt Linda and the rest of Ricky's family I know he is with his mom and cousins who have gone before him. It is hard for me to think about three of them gone so young. I remember Ricky fondly from high school.  I think my most vivid memory of him was one night I was out with a few friends and we unexpectedly ran into Ricky at what I think I remember to be a roller skating rink.  Anyways, he had us laughing the whole night. I remember my sides hurt the next day from laughing so hard.  Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord and may perpetual light shine upon him.  May the soul of the faithfully departed through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

I am so sorry Cindy and Deanna to hear of the loss of your brother. It is never a good time but it is especially hard when you lose a sibling so young. My thoughts and prayers are with you both.

I also remember he used to have a couple of nick names. Bizago and Papeno

Im thinking back to when Ricky  was around maybe 13. Uncle Harold brought Ricky on the job with him. We were rebuilding willowbrook park in New Britain. I believe it was 1982. It was time for coffee and we sent Ricky across the street to the Whistle Stop to get the coffee for the guys. Well here comes Ricky awhile later with this sad look on his face holding a paper bag with the bottom all soaked with coffee and no coffee cups. When he ran across the street they all leaked and the bag broke. I can still see his face  as he was walking toward us. That's how I want to remember Ricky, before the world gets ahold of you.
