Rita "Mitzi" Madden

Born in Waterbury on January 14, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Agnes Kerwin. She was proud to have been a graduate of Waterbury Catholic High School in 1933 and has been a Wolcott resident since 1938.

Mitz is survived by a son Mark and his wife Diane Madden of Wolcott, a daughter Merrie and her husband Anthony Acousti of West Yarmouth , MA, several grandchildren including Pamela and her husband Robert MacMullen Jr. with whom she resided in Wolcott. She is also survived by many great grandchildren and great- great grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her sons  John Madden III,  Michael Madden and her brother John Kerwin.

Graveside services will be on Wednesday 11 AM at New St. Joseph Cemetery on Hamilton Ave. in Waterbury. There are no calling hours. The DellaVecchia Funeral Home 690 Woodtick Rd. Wolcott is in charge of the arrangements. Visit www.dellavecchiafh.com for online condolences and directions.
