It is so hard to let you go dad you are in my thoughts each and every day . I sit here and think of what to do and I want to call you and tell you what angelina is doing today and the new things that are gooing on with her. but in my heart I no that you are here and my grand mother and grandpa are here with us to.But I miss you and love you I was proud to drive your truck for you during that hard day .my mom told me to look at it this way you spent my birthday with me and that on the day that I was born we started our life out on this day and you are going to start your life in heaven on the same day . you are young again and healthy with no problems. the girls want to write but there to sad about all that is going on I love you and miss you so much it hurts to let you go .I cry everyday when I want to call you . Hey Dad just wanted to say I am going to miss you very much. It is so hard already here without you but I know you would have not wanted me to worry and that you are in a better place now. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this very difficult time.  Bob was a great friend to my Dad, we will never forget all the great times we all had.  May all your friends and family bring you peace and comfort.

A few weeks ago, I got home from work and there was a message from Bobby on the phone? it said? 
?hi Bobby? it?s your brother-in-law Bobby Boucher calling? give me a call?? as if I didn?t know who it was? well Bobby, today I?m here to say ?hi Bobby? it?s your brother-in-law Bobby Doyle, I?m here with all your family and friends? we?ll be calling you often to speak to you.?

I first met Bobby when I was twenty? he was a few years older? back in those days we didn?t have many things in common? Bobby was into cars and I wasn?t? I was into sports and Bobby wasn?t? he could talk about mechanical things all day and I had no idea what he was talking about ? the only thing we had in common was Judy? I could see right from the beginning what a good brother he was? he really cared for his sisters and looked out for them? believe me, I made sure to be on his good side with this? Bobby was the type of good big brother all young sisters should have?

Bobby was a strong family man over the years? he was a lucky man? he was lucky to have Linda, who?s been a stalwart of love and support in all the good times, and in the more difficult recent years?he was lucky to have three loving children in Nicole, Holly, and Michelle? he was lucky to have seen his children grow, find good men, and see and know his grandchildren? he was lucky to have his very special sisters? and a special guy in Dave? and to have nieces and nephews, their spouses, and children who he loved so much? he was lucky for his extended family and his good friends? there?s not much more that a man can ask for? yes Bobby? you were a lucky man? but in life a man needs to make his own luck? good job Bobby? you made your own luck with your love and caring and because of the man you were?

Bobby was a volunteer fireman for thirty years? he loved it? he loved the camaraderie? he was proud of being part of something so important? it was a big part of who he was?

He was a hard worker, and retired from GE after a long twenty-year career?

Bobby had a good time living? 

There are a lot of good Bobby stories?
Like the time as a teenager he shot an arrow through a neighbor?s roof?
Like the good, free-spirited times on Uncle Joe?s farm with his cousins? and the trips to Vermont with the all the Braults? 
Like the time he broke Judy?s arm in a wrestling match? and had to face up to Estelle? Bobby, you were lucky you lived as long as you did after that one?

Bobby was an avid fisherman, motorcyclist, and card player?

He often took Holly fishing when she was younger? Holly?s most memorable catch was a big snapping turtle? Bobby confidently removed the hook from the snapping turtle, only to find out very suddenly and painfully that He had become the bait as the snapping turtle dangled from his finger? he?d do Anything for his family?

Nicole fondly remembers the firefighter days and her being a part of the Drum Corps that marched in parades together with the fire men? they had a special tradition of honoring each other? the firefighters would line both sides of the street and the Drum Corps would match through the lines? then the Drum Corps would line both sides of the street and the firefighters would march through the lines? it was always supposed to be eyes-forward for the firefighters but Bobby would always steal a special wink and smile at Nicole? what a great memory?

And the there were the famous card games? Bobby?s card games with Judy and Donna were cut-throat, no-mercy, memorable matches? the three of them loved it and had such fun? the games took on a legendary meaning to them? the score cards were saved? bragging rights were established? Bobby, I hate to tell you, but it?s still no mercy? you?re going to have some of the score cards with you just as a reminder?don?t count on your name being on top?

Bobby was indeed a special guy? I loved and respected him dearly?

All of us have our own fond memories and stories about Bobby? keep them close to you?

Hey brother, I know that your not suffering anymore, that brings me consolation.  It was very hard for me to see you constantly attached to your oxygen supply, always out of breath.  You were like, as Donna said to me, "a prisoner in your own body".  I can think back to all the years we had together, beginning with you as my protective brother when I was growing up. There are some memories that only you and I share. ..some very difficult, and some funny beyond belief. One of the funniest I remember was when I was a young teenager, and you had a date and thought it would be a good idea to take me and my friend, who ?just happened? to be a boy, with you and your date to the drive-in.  Mom was waiting on the front step for us when we got home.  She told me to go in the house.  You got the wrath of God from mom.  As time moved on, we grew to adulthood.  We found our true loves, had our own families and we weathered all the ups and downs that come with life.  We loved and respected each other every day.  We were so very close.  I have told you a thousand times, "You are the best brother".  I know that that sounds like a cliché, but it?s the most sincere truth.  I could count on you to be there for me no matter what.  If I was driving from the Cape alone, which I did so many times, I felt safe because I knew both my Bobby and you, my best brother Bobby,  would be there on both ends of the trip to help me in case I broke down, which I did a time or two.  I always felt safe and protected. Bobby, know that I will always have you in my heart.  I know you will be at peace as you eternally lay beside Mom and Dad. Listen for me? I?ll be talking to you often.

Michelle I am very sorry for the loss of your father.  Keep your head held high knowing he is watching over you now.

I'll always remember the good times we shared as teenagers and growing up together.  We had good times going out with Mom and Dad to where Dad would be playing on the weekends.  I'll always remember danceing to "Yellow bird" my favorite.  I'll always remember the day our daughter Michelle Monique was born February 14, 1967 it was the happiest day of my life.

As we grew up and our lifes parted ways you met your soul mate and had two more beautiful daughters.  I was lucky enough that you married a wonderful women and Michelle and I were accepted as part of your family as well.  It is a good feeling to know as life goes on and I join you some day that Michelle will not be alone..She will always have sisters, Linda and her Aunt Judy and Aunt Donna which she loves very much.

On April 21, 2006 our paths changed again as we all became grandparents together to Angelina Monique. (Linda, you and I).

You will never be forgotton, as a part of you will always live on, your three beautiful daughters and all your beautiful grand-children will keep your memory alive. 

My love goes out to you Linda who lost your life long partner, soul mate and best friend and to the girls who lost their Dad, and to Donna and Judy who lost their brother.

We were very saddened to hear of Bobby's passing.  We have wonderful memories of many happy, good times spent with him and his family.   We will always remember Bobby as a happy, jolly man who was a great friend.  He was someone we always knew we could count on and we will always hold him dear to our hearts. I'm truely sorry for your loss.  I will never forget Bobby, when I was a younger hanging around with Donna and how Bobby was always the partical joker. Also when I got older and everyone's lives go there seperate ways but I would run into Bobby every once in a while and he was always so happy to see you.  No matter what health issue he was going through he alway wanted to know how you were.  The one thing I will always, always remember about BOBBY was how he always had a smile on his face and could always make me laugh.  He will truely be missed.

I just want to tell you how much I am going to miss your voice on the phone during the day and talking to me and angelina . I just talked to you and you where excited because angelina talked to you and said PAPA. Daddy I am going to miss you so much I will always remember the things that we did and most of all I was so happy to see you there at my wedding to give me away no matter how sick you felt the day before being in the hospital. Just to see you there was so special. I miss you so much brother. I know that mommy came to take you home with her since her birthday is 2/12.  I am happy that you are in heaven and you are free once again.  It was so hard to see you so sick and so limited in what you could do.  You always led a very active life. You were the best big brother that anyone could ever wish for.  I was always so very proud of you. I guess this is good bye for now until we meet up again in heaven.  Keep practicing with the card playing just maybe you will improve your skills and might be able to beat your little sister.  Keep practicing!!! You will always live in my heart.  I love and miss you so very much. I know that one day we will all be together again so until then goodbye. It will be so nice to see you again when you come to take me home.  Until then keep a watchful eye on all of us.

With great sadness I write this note...Bob and I were best of friends since we were around 13 years old...Aside from living near each other in Forestville, Connecticut, we found we were both from Burlington, Vermont...A strange cooincidence.

Though so many years have passed and we lived afar from each other, he was always a thought away...He was always like another brother and his siblings Judy and Donna like a couple of sisters..We all grew up together.

Bob, we will miss you....Don't forget to say hi to your Mom and Dad for me.

I am so sorry for your loss. I remember when i was little and i would come visit nicole and mr. Boucher would always call me reagan...he knew my name but he always thought it was so funny to call me that...he was a very nice man...my heart goes out to his family.
