Sandra Mary Cyr, lifelong resident of Southington, peacefully passed away at her home on March 30, 2026. She was 73 years old. Born on September 12, 1952, in Southington, she was the beloved daughter of the late William and Maxine (Churchill) Yorski.
Sandra was a proud graduate of the local schools and spent her career working for several local manufacturing companies. After retirement, she continued to stay active in the community by working part-time at a local retail establishment until its closure.
Sandra had a deep love for animals, especially birds, cats, and her cherished pitbull, Sasha. She enjoyed walking her dogs, visiting with friends, and sharing her life with family and pets alike.
She is survived by her children, Scott Cyr and his wife Katie, Shannon Wright, and Jason Cyr and his wife Carrie; her beloved grandchildren, Norah, Clayton, Aiyana, Delaney, Lacey, and Vincent; and her siblings, Mark Yorski and his wife Annette, David Yorski, and Sharon Collin and her husband Dennis. She was predeceased by her daughter, Robin Cyr, and her brother, Peter Yorski.
Interment will be held privately with her family, and there will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her memory to the CT Humane Society at www.cthumane.org or to the American Diabetes Foundation at www.diabetes.org
