Sanita LaBonte

She was born in Waterbury on May 21, 1930 the daughter of the late Peter and Mary (Sgrillo) Turzo. Meme was a talented cake decorator and baker especially her Italian wedding cookies. She enjoyed cribbage and crocheting but most of all she loved taking care of her grandchildren and spending time with her family.

She is survived by a daughter Mary Ann Albano and husband Martin of Southington and a son David J. LaBonte Sr. and wife Camille of Venice, FL, her cherished grandchildren, David LaBonte Jr. and wife Sarah, Matthew Albano, Melissa Lukanik and husband Michael and Dylan LaBonte, her grand-daughter in law Racheal LaBonte, her great grandchildren Alexandra, Paul, David, Raina, Jack, Madelyn and Natalie. She also leaves her brother Richard Turzo and wife Roseann of Torrington and sister Angela Polci and husband Albert of Prospect and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a grandson Darren LaBonte and 2 brothers Michael and John Turzo.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 9th at 9:15am from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. to Mary Our Queen Church, 248 Savage St. Plantsville for a Mass at 10 am. Burial will be at St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Friday, June 8th from 4-7 pm.
