Sara Krompinger

Sara Krompinger, 97, of Southington, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2023. She was born on February 11, 1926 in Danbury CT to the late Benjamin Castrucci of Deliceto, Italy and Mary Marcella of Torrington CT. She was born and raised in Danbury CT and attended Becker Junior College in Worcester MA. She was the loving wife for 58 years of the late Warren Krompinger where they raised three sons in Connecticut and Staten Island. Sara’s passion revolved around her family, friends and the church. She is survived by her son Richard and his wife Donna with their two sons Ricky and Sam of Holbrook NY, son Kenneth of New York, NY and son Warren Jay and his wife Paula of Madison CT. The children of Jay and Paula include son Jason and his wife Rachel with their daughter Madison of Concord MA, son Scott and his wife Virginia of Riverdale NY and son Keith of Longmeadow MA.

The family would like to thank Dr. Craig Bogdanski for providing compassionate and expert medical care for Sara over many years. They would also send special thanks to the nurses and entire staff at Southington Care Center who provided excellent care and friendship during her final years.

Friends and family may call at DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Southington CT on Tuesday April 11th from 8:45-9:45 a.m. A mass of Christian Burial will be held subsequently at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 94 Broad St., Plainville, CT. Burial will follow at St Peters Cemetery, Danbury CT.
