She was born May 1, 1928 in New Britain, daughter of the late George and Caroline (Sakolik) Jones. She had worked at the Benjamin Franklin School in New Britain and was a Foster Grandparent at the School.
She is survived by her son Eric D. Samuelson of New Britain, a brother George Jones and longtime companion Dorothy Kobus of Wethersfield, several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and many good friends. She was predeceased by 3 sisters, Emma Jones, Carolyn Carlson and Jane Westergren and a niece Carol Westergren and nephew Jeffery Jones.
The Funeral will be held Thursday 11:30 am at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Southington. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in New Britain. Calling hours will be from 10 am until the time of the service. Donations may be made in her memory to a charity of one?s choice.
