Born in Cementon, NY on December 3, 1922 she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Anna Zinkow Sr. She enjoyed playing bingo and was a member of the International Catholic Deaf Association.
Besides her beloved husband of 64 years, Sophie is survived by a daughter Gloria Dauphin of Terryville, a sister Mary Kirlauski of Cementon, NY and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Anna Muskovitch and five brothers Joseph, Samuel, Michael, John and Peter Zinkow.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday July 27, 2009 at Our Lady of Mercy Church 19 South Canal Street in Plainville. Calling hours are Monday morning from 8:30 to 10:30 AM at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home 211 N. Main St. Southington.
