Susan Jane Rasmus

Born in Southington on April 19, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Clinton and Marjorie (Coan) Simpson II. She resided in Lake Wales, FL for many years before returning to Connecticut four years ago. Until the time of her illness, she was a homemaker with M & R Healthcare in Bristol.

Susan was a genuine people person and spent most of her life serving others especially her family. She touched many lives and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by a son John and his wife Crystal Rasmus III of Bristol, two daughters Dawn and her husband Danny Petronis of FL, Nicole ?Nicky? Rasmus of Bristol, brothers Clinton and his wife Jennifer Simpson III of Bristol, Danny Simpson of Plainville, four grandchildren, Taylor Gauthier, Danielle Petronis, Jaeden Rasmus and Jared Petronis. She also leaves three sisters Mary Kimball, Bev Briggs both of Bristol, Judy D?Andrea of Wolcott, her very close friend Lorrie Simpson of Bristol, and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services will be on Thursday at 1 PM in St. Joseph Cemetery 522 Terryville Ave. in Bristol. There are no calling hours. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made at a fundraiser for her on Friday July 8th 6 PM to Midnight at the Polish American Political Club 3 Makara St Terryville CT.
